Asian Longhorn Beetle

Currently the only effective way to control the beetle is to remove the infested trees and destroy them. The area is then quarantined to prevent further spreading of the beetle.

The ALB are usually present in the summer and fall through October.  The adults usually remain in the tree they were born.  Females can lay up to 160 eggs which hatch in 10-15 days.  For more information contact your local extension service, a certified arborist or the U.S Department of Agriculture.
