Growing Mizuna
Mizuna is one of the best greens you can grow in your garden.  If you can only grow one, this is it.  I started growing this Asian green several years ago.  I have this in my garden nearly 12 months a year.  This green can take some cold, grows all summer, doesn't bolt easily and

tastes super.  I use this in eggs every morning.  I cut up a bunch of this green and put it in the eggs and then cook them.  Unlike say spinach or kale, which I cook for a minute or two before adding the eggs, I find the mizuna stands up quite well by just mixing into the eggs and then making an omelet.

Other uses for this versatile green include on sandwiches, in salads and in soups.  The plant itself should be grown in well drained soil with lots of sunshine and be watered regularly.  Give it about 12" to grow as over the course of 6 months the plant will become a larger head.

Mizuna is susceptible to slugs, snails and some other leaf eating bugs, but with careful pest management, you will be eating your muzuna through till November.
